1. NEET UG Eligibility Criteria
- Admission to B.P.T and other Health Science courses for the academic year 2025–2026 shall be based on the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG).
- It is mandatory for all candidates to appear for NEET UG and obtain the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the respective regulatory authorities.
- Candidates must also fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria in the qualifying examination (HSC/12th Science with PCB) as per Central Council and State guidelines.
2. Entrance Examination & Merit Basis
- There shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely “National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG)” for admission to Health Science courses.
- Admissions will be granted strictly on the basis of merit (All India Rank - AIR) obtained in NEET UG.
- An All-India Merit List as well as State-wise Merit List of eligible candidates will be prepared based on NEET UG performance.
- No candidate shall be admitted without obtaining the prescribed minimum eligibility marks in NEET UG.
3. Admission Authority & Counseling Process
- The National Testing Agency (NTA), New Delhi is responsible only for conducting NEET UG, declaration of results, and preparation of merit lists.
- Admission to Health Science courses including BPTh, BOTh, BASLP, BNYS, and BP&O will be filled on the basis of the NEET UG merit list as per the applicable counseling authority guidelines.
- The responsibility of seat allotment and counseling lies with the respective competent authorities and not with NTA.
4. Reservation & Seat Allocation
- Reservation of seats for various categories shall be applicable as per the laws and regulations prevailing in the State of Maharashtra and Government norms.
- 15% seats in Government, Corporation, and Government-Aided Medical and Dental Colleges in Maharashtra shall be filled through All India Quota by DGHS, New Delhi based on NEET AIR.
- Seats in AYUSH and other Health Science courses in Government, Government-Aided, Unaided Private, and Minority Colleges may be filled through AACCC or respective state counseling authorities as per regulatory notifications.
- Medical clearance (if applicable)
5. Qualifying Examination Requirements
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board.
- The minimum qualifying marks in the HSC examination must be as prescribed by the respective Central Council and admission authorities for the academic year.
6. Important Admission Note
- This admission procedure is applicable only for NEET UG admissions for the academic year.
- No assurance or commitment is implied for subsequent academic years, and candidates should not form expectations for future admissions based on this procedure.
- All admissions to Health Science courses within respective categories shall be based solely on merit in NEET UG and applicable regulatory guidelines.
