Annual sports meet -’18
St. Andrews College, Pune organised its most highly awaited Annual sports meet on 17th December 2018 held at Salisbury Park Pune. It was collaboration of students from Nursing, GNM as well as physiotherapy Honourable was the chief guest arrived at 9:30 am followed by other guests before the event began there was a march past performed by all the 4 respective houses. After it, short prayer & national anthem song by the students of St. Andrews followed by lighting of the torch by captains of the houses. The chief guest announced the opening of sports meet with release of balloons into air and with a encouraging short speech.
Sports such as Kho-Kho, Kabadi, throw ball, volley ball, short put, discuses throw, javelin throw, 100m, 200m, relay, Tenikot & thug of war weve included. The 1st day of annual sport meet started with Kho-Kho matches between the respective houses – Read, Yellow, Green, & Blue, followed by kabadi matches. Both girl & boys teams played for their resp. houses. The 1st session of sport meet ended at 1:00 clock in afternoon. The 2nd session started after lunch break & began with all the track events. The 1st day ended with victory for some and hard for others.
The 2nd day of the sport meet started with games like sport put, thrown ball, volley ball, followed by other games. The day ended with the fierce competition of thug of war. It was the most enjoyed moment / event in this whole sports meet. There was a small game between the ex-students of St. Andrews as they participated in thug of war. As the day was started with God’s grace, it ended with a beautiful prayer by.
