Charity towards Elderly- Helpage India
Helpage India was formed in 1978. It was registered as national, secular non-profit organization that works for the cause and care of disadvantaged older persons to improve their quality of life. Mr. Rajiv Kulkarni area manager of Pune district had visited our college on 1st February 2019, Friday and gave introductory lecture on how Helpage India helps the poor old people and our students were motivated by the work.
The introductory guest lecture stated that help age India not only services the elders by their programs but also by helping them by advocating for their needs such as for pension and quality health care. He requested the students if they can contribute towards the welfare of the elderly. Dr.Gaurai Gharote took the responsibility of collecting the contibutions. Our students gathered the donation of rupees 20251 for the same purpose and was submitted to Mr. Rajiv Kulkarni on 21st February 2019.
